Strong local community ties. The restaurant paved the way for modern dining in the Ipswich CBD and is one of the longest running hospitality businesses in the city’s recent history.
Stellar brand reputation. The restaurant has a strong social media presence with substantial reach with limited spend and 4.5 and 4.6 star Google and Facebook reviews respectively from more than 1,400 votes cumulatively.
Great fit out and location. The restaurant is positioned in the top end of town, in a heritage building which has a capacity 105 patrons inside and 60 patrons outside Beer Garden. The restaurant comes fully furnished and has a fully fitted kitchen with well-trained chefs. The restaurant has a 200+ square meter indoor space and room for almost 70 more outside the beer garden. The outdoor beer garden offers plenty of options to cater for events and parties of all shapes and sizes and live music. The bar has 12 beer taps with no contracts attached, which means you are free to serve any options.
Opportunity to scale and expand. The restaurant currently runs dinner service from Wednesday-Sunday (5 pm – close) and lunch service from Friday- Sunday (12 pm-2 pm). The alcohol licence is in place until midnight 7 days a week. Therefore, there is an opportunity to extend trading hours. Also the new owner can expand into breakfast, lunch, venue hire and weddings. The recent addition of the takeaway menu has increased foot traffic and introduced new customers. There is currently no delivery service. This could easily be set up to increase sales.
Smooth transition. The owners have great knowledge of cuisine and beer. They are willing to offer one month training within the restaurant to ensure a smooth transition for the new owners.
Full team in place. There is currently 14 staff plus the owner currently running the restaurant split between the Kitchen and front of house.
